The GALILEO HAS increases positioning accuracy to below one meter, making it the first Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) in the world capable of providing a high-accuracy, global service directly via space signals — at no cost to the user. This service allows users to reduce errors associated with orbital data and clock offsets provided by GALILEO navigation messages. The high-accuracy Precise Point Positioning (PPP) signal will be broadcast via both the current GALILEO E6-B band and the internet.
