Flight Procedure Design for the Third Runway | Kuwait International Airport

The Challenge

At Kuwait International Airport, a third runway was built, requiring the design of flight procedures and the publication of the corresponding aeronautical charts.

Our Solution

Following an initial feasibility and compatibility study, we developed the final design, which included all ILS and RNP approach procedures, SIDs and STARs, their validation in both simulator and flight, and the charts to be published in the AIP (including ICAO obstacle charts Type A, B, and C).

Benefits

Intercompatible flight procedures that facilitate Air Traffic Control (ATC) service provision and enable multiple runway configurations in the subsequent phases of Kuwait International Airport’s redevelopment.
